Privacy Policy
This document explains what data Bebe Sleepy collects, what it does not, and how it is handled. It is written in plain language. If anything is unclear, write to us using the contact details at the bottom and we will reply.
1. Who we are
Bebe Sleepy is a personal sleep tracker and music companion published by the developer team listed on the App Store page. The app runs on iPhone and supports Apple Watch where present. The data controller for this Privacy Policy is the same publisher.
2. Data we collect
The app stores all of the following on your device only.
- Sleep sessions you record manually inside the app, including bedtime, wake time, and stage estimates.
- Sleep stage and heart rate samples imported from Apple Health, when you grant permission.
- Your bedtime and wake time schedule.
- Local playlists you create inside the app and the YouTube Music video identifiers you save into them.
- Your in-app onboarding state and tracking timer state, kept so an overnight session is not lost on a restart.
3. Data we do not collect
The publisher receives none of the following.
- Health, sleep, or heart rate readings.
- Listening history, video identifiers, or YouTube Music account details.
- Email address, name, contact list, or device identifiers.
- Location, motion, microphone, camera, photos, or contacts.
- Crash logs or analytics events from a third-party SDK. The app ships without one.
4. Apple Health
Bebe Sleepy reads two HealthKit data types when you grant permission inside the app: sleep analysis and heart rate. The values are read locally, displayed on the Sleep tab, and never transmitted off the device. The app never writes to HealthKit unless a future feature explicitly says so before doing it. You can revoke HealthKit access at any time in iOS Settings, Health, Data Access and Devices.
5. App Tracking Transparency
The first time you open the Home tab, iOS shows the App Tracking Transparency prompt. Bebe Sleepy does not link your activity in this app with data collected from third parties for advertising, and does not share an identifier with data brokers. You can change your choice at any time in iOS Settings, Privacy and Security, Tracking.
6. Local network and the companion server
The app includes an opt-in local companion server that lets another device on your home network read playback state. The server runs only when you enable it. It is reachable only from your local network. No traffic from the companion server is sent to the publisher.
7. Subscriptions and purchases
If you purchase Bebe Pro, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Apple shares the receipt with the app to validate entitlement. Apple does not share your payment card or full personal details with the app. See Apple's privacy policy for how Apple processes purchases.
8. Data retention
Local data lives on the device until you delete it from inside the app or remove the app. Removing the app deletes the local store. There is no server-side copy to delete on our end because nothing is sent to a server.
9. Your rights
Because the app does not collect personal data on a server, requests to access, port, or delete data on the publisher's side are typically answered with a confirmation that no such data exists. To clear or export your in-app data, use the controls inside the Sleep and Settings tabs, or remove the app to wipe everything.
Residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, California, and other regions with comparable laws have the right to lodge a complaint with their supervisory authority, withdraw consent for any optional processing, and contact us to clarify what is held.
10. Children
Bebe Sleepy is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If a parent or guardian believes a child has used the app and wishes to ensure no local data persists, removing the app deletes the local store.
11. International users
The app processes your data on your device, in your jurisdiction. We do not transfer your data internationally because we do not receive it.
12. Changes to this policy
Material changes will be posted here with an updated effective date. If a change introduces new data collection, the app will request your consent the next time you open it.
